ADEBAYO OLUWASEUN OJO, Ph.D.
Hi, welcome to my personal website! I am a passionate and innovative geoscientist with a keen interest in scientific research, academia and the geophysical industry. In recent years, I have been working in the field of seismology where I use seismic waves from passive and active sources to obtain high-resolution images of the crust and mantle lithosphere. By performing joint inversions and/or integrated analysis with constraints from other relevant disciplines, I provide robust geological interpretations that addresses specific scientific questions related to the evolution of the earth, or solve problems related to seismic hazards and engineering investigations. My past research used a variety of near-surface geophysical methods (e.g., electrical, electromagnetics, potential fields and seismic) to address problems in groundwater development, environmental pollution, mineral exploration and engineering infrastructure development. I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills that has proved very valuable in my career. During my leisure time, I like to analyze and trade the financial market and also develop software for trade automation. Likewise, I like to read, travel and play table tennis. I am currently a postdoctoral associate at Western University and volunteer at Geological Survey of Canada where I collaborate with Dr. Sheri Molnar and Dr. Honn Kao respectively to study induced seismicity, crustal deformation, earthquake hazards, and lithospheric structures. Kindly take a look at my curriculum vitae and publications to familiarize yourself with my research works and please feel free to contact me. |
